Recently, UN leaders described water as “the canary in the coal mine of climate change,” highlighting how climate change and mismanagement are driving unprecedented changes in our water systems. In this episode, Daniel Dominguez, a water scientist at Colorado State University and a project coordinator for the Water Fellows programs, explains the impacts of climate change on our water systems. This conversation unpacks how the water cycle is changing and ends with a discussion on the ways we can connect water conservation to our everyday lives.

Meet the Host
Cody Sanford is an environmental journalist and trained ecologist specializing in climate policy, community-level sustainability, and mountain ecology. With a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystem Sciences and Sustainability from Colorado State University, Cody combines his passion for the natural world and his knowledge of environmental systems with innovative communication strategies. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he splits his time between Denver and the mountains of South Park, Colorado, capturing nature through photography whenever possible.
